December Outreach Update

Get excited for Outreach in 2025!

Wrapping up 2024 with all the incredible donations from our Giving Tree reminds me of how much our congregation impacts our community with their faith in action! Christmas in Coweta through Bridging the Gap gave 2,285 children (NPC supported 8 of those children) a very merry Christmas this year!! Thank you to our youth leaders and youth for shopping and for Lindsay Edge for labeling all the gifts!!

Our Giving Tree this year will round out the year to each of our local non profits with over $500 each in donations either with cash, gift cards or physical donations. Each of our non profit partners have sent thank you to say what an incredible blessing NPC is their organization! Thank you everyone for all that do to help make our community stronger and better!

In 2023, I encouraged each of you to join us with your Faith in Action. We maintained that Faith in Action into 2024 while also building our Faith in Partnerships--and now as we enter 2025, I am invite you to experience Faith in Possibilities. We have developed a strong foundation with the 9 local non profits that we support and this summer, I am excited at the possibility of our new mission trip to Guatemala with Pura Vida. Sign up is NOW--so if you want to join us June 14-22--let Dale Bowers or David Jones or Melanie Smith know right away!

This January, we are excited to once again highlight The Coweta Samaritan Clinic! The clinic is growing--even adding a dental clinic--so your support will help to fund this growth.

Rise Against Hunger - Thank you!

  A Heartfelt Thank You to Our Amazing Volunteers This past Sunday on August 11, 2024, 115 volunteers gathered together in Barrow Hall for a meal packing event for Rise Against Hunger.  Volunteers came together with a shared mission: to combat hunger and provide hope to communities in need. This event was a resounding success, thanks to the dedication and hard work of our incredible volunteers. We packed 14,256 meals!!! In the past 9 years, Newnan Presbyterian Church has packed 130,655 meals and they have provided food to places like Haiti, Sierra Leone, Philippines and Zambia.  Incredible job everyone!!! Faith truly in Action. Their efforts, along with those of many other volunteers, highlight the profound impact that a community can have when united by a common cause. June Focus: Summer of Service

Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace you have been saved through faith.  And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.   During the summer we encourage you to find your Faith in Action. You can serve someone in need; help out in your neighborhood; contact one of our non profit partners or join us in our Care Group for Service. June we will serving Hope Global with a Block Party again this year! We had so much fun playing and eating with the children last year that we are excited to do it again this year! Stay tuned for date and details. Upcoming: Save the Dates July 22-26: Service Project: BTG Summer Lunch Program--we will once again serve lunches to local kids in the CJ Smith park August: we will celebrate Global Missions and highlight Merida, Pura Vida, and Rise Against Hunger is back this year on August 11th during the service!!

Pura Vida Ministries Summer 2024 Update

Our July English Camp and Construction teams have arrived in Chichicastenango and are preparing for the work week. Travel began for our teams on the 4th of July and included being picked up at the Guatemala City airport in our chicken bus, 'Super Nina' (see photo below), and one night's stay in Antigua. This morning our team enjoyed a tour of Ecofiltro Guatemala.
