"An astounding 2285 Kids were Served through Christmas in Coweta! 🎁🎅 This program would not be possible without the 19 churches ⛪️ 6 schools 🏫 23 businesses 🧱 9 communities or civic groups 🤝 and 86 individuals who shared Christmas cheer to kids! This truly shows the power of community and kindness! 💫 A HUGE thank you to Brent Scarbrough & Company, Inc. for their unwavering support and use of their hanger! 🙌 Without them, this event wouldn't have been possible. February 2025 Outreach Update We are highlighting Angel's House (Chicken Run--annual fundraiser is Feb 1st) and One Roof. Donations can be made to support the Angel's House home and/or to help stock the pantry at One Roof. We appreciate David, Andrea, Melanie, and Kay for taking the time to go down to share fellowship with our sister church in Sitpatch. We look forward to continuing to support them with a student scholarship. Next stop in global missions--Pura Vida in Guatualema June 14-22 where we will help build a home for a deserving family. Here is a link for the Trip Application for our 2025 June work trip to Guatemala.  As you know, we will be traveling with a youth team from Salida Presbyterian Church in Colorado, but Newnan will have a separate worksite.  puravida.org/June2025 You will notice on the trip page that there are opportunities for people to support the trip as Virtual Team members (blue box).  People who are unable to travel but would like to support the efforts can be Virtual members.  They will receive email updates and photos daily during the trip, and weekly until the project is complete.  (NPC was a virtual team member on Josefina's home last July).   There is also a yellow box where people can donate any amount.  Any donations of $250 or more will automatically be added to the Virtual Team.   Their $1000 deposits should be made by check and held at the church until we have 6 team members.  Dec 31 is the deadline for the first 6 team members....

Get excited for Outreach in 2025! Wrapping up 2024 with all the incredible donations from our Giving Tree reminds me of how much our congregation impacts our community with their faith in action! Christmas in Coweta through Bridging the Gap gave 2,285 children (NPC supported 8 of those children) a very merry Christmas this year!! Thank you to our youth leaders and youth for shopping and for Lindsay Edge for labeling all the gifts!! Our Giving Tree this year will round out the year to each of our local non profits with over $500 each in donations either with cash, gift cards or physical donations. So much to be thankful for as we wrap up our year here at Outreach. With the generosity of our amazing congregation, BTG will be blessed with $2,135 in monetary donations! We really appreciate Jamar Joiner, BTG director, speaking to our congregation and emphasizing the tremendous impact our congregation has on our community through the partnership with Bridging the Gap. We are thrilled to partner with BTG's program, Christmas in Coweta, and our youth program to provide Christmas for 8 children this holiday season. The youth did an amazing job of shopping for all the gifts--there are going to be some very happy children on Christmas day! During the month of December, please see our Giving Tree in the Narthex where you can pull an ornament to support a particular group or you can use the QR code to give or drop a check or cash in the donation box at the base of the tree. A time for fall foliage, pumpkins, costumes, and cooler weather--AND, Blessing of the Animals! We were thrilled to join with the Episcopal church this year at Line Creek Brewery for a festive and fun blessing for the many animals. Newnan Coweta Humane Society was thrilled with the numerous donations made to Pokey's Place. We also celebrated CORRAL in October and it showed in the tremendous monetary donations made to help support the work they do with their riding therapy program. If you want to continue supporting these organizations during the year, please contact the organizations directly for how you can get more involved! Stay tuned for an exciting November as we support Bridging the Gap--to provide Thanksgiving meals to those in need and the annual Christmas in Coweta program.
