  October: Newnan Coweta Humane Society and CORRAL James 1:6 "But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind" Blessing of the Animals: October 12th 4pm Church Parking Lot--All creatures great and small are invited to join us for a beautiful Blessing of the Animals. We will also be receiving donations for the Newnan Coweta Humane Society if you are able. Food, Cat Litter, Treats are all welcome! Here is a recent update on the activities at NCHS and CORRAL and how our support truly impacts them to help the residents of Coweta County. NCHS: We were fortunate to receive an Atlanta Humane Society grant. Kennels have been enlarged (Full capacity at Pokey’s is 9 dogs.). Future improvements are paving the back driveway, having electricity in the Pet Food Pantry and storage shed, curb appeal outside, and “lobby appeal” inside.   Corinthians 5:7 " For we walk by faith, not by sight" We are very excited to serve Hope Global this month!! As most of you know, they are right in our "backyard" in the Chalk committee serving the kids of that community by offering a safe haven for afterschool. We are stocking their afterschool snack pantry this month! So bring in healthy kids snacks and lets fill the pantry!!

  OUTREACH MINISTRIES | FAITH IN ACTION For an update on Summer of Service, the Summer Lunch Program was a huge success.   This year, we distributed a total of 300 lunches over three days. Thank you to all who helped make this program a success!

On June 13th, ten members and friends from Newnan Presbyterian Church will depart from Atlanta to Guatemala City for a 10-day mission trip with Pura Vida. The primary focus will be constructing a house for a family near Chichicastenango, Guatemala. Our own NPC member, Janie Williams, is a Student Sponsor Liaison for Pura Vida Ministries and is excited about leading a group from Newnan.  On a work/construction trip with Pura Vida, volunteers work with a family and local team members to construct a 2-room home. The philosophy is similar to Habitat for Humanity in that the family will also provide “sweat equity.” The group will be building a home for Juana and her husband, Oscar, and their two young children: Karen, age 3, and Keila, age 1. They are currently living in a rented adobe house.  The group is excited for this new adventure in mission work after almost 30 years serving the Sitpach community in Merida, Mexico. March has seen us supporting Coweta FORCE. We had an inspiring minute from mission from the Coweta FORCE director, Hank, who spoke of their Burch Ave Affordable housing project, recovery connections program and the many other resources FORCE offers to those in recovery from addiction. We are honored to support them and their mission of a community that embraces recovery so that everyone has the opportunity to experience freedom from addiction.  If you or someone you know is struggling from addiction, please contact at 678-633-5688 or visit their website at  https://www.cowetaforce.org/  or see them in person (they are right behind our church) at 36 Salbide Avenue.

February 2025 Outreach Update We are highlighting Angel's House (Chicken Run--annual fundraiser is Feb 1st) and One Roof. Donations can be made to support the Angel's House home and/or to help stock the pantry at One Roof. We appreciate David, Andrea, Melanie, and Kay for taking the time to go down to share fellowship with our sister church in Sitpatch. We look forward to continuing to support them with a student scholarship. Next stop in global missions--Pura Vida in Guatualema June 14-22 where we will help build a home for a deserving family.
