🦃 Bridging the Gap (BTG)

  • Thanksgiving Dinner – November 19, 2025 10 volunteers needed to serve a hot Thanksgiving meal to BTG clients.

  • Ongoing Food Distribution Volunteers needed every:

    • Wednesday at 3:00 PM

    • Saturday at 8:00 AM Help distribute food boxes to those in need.

🏠 NEST-ReStart

Supports homeless individuals and families in becoming self-sustainable through year-round case management and referrals.

🛍️ Thrift Store Launch

  • A new thrift store is opening at 28 Salbide Ave to help fund NEST-ReStart.

  • Volunteers needed to help run the store.

  • Move-in date: TBD

❄️ NEST Warming Center at BTG

  • Open during winter when temperatures drop to 32°F or below for 2+ hours before 4 AM.

  • Open to men, women (with separate areas), and families (supported with hotel rooms).

  • Hours: 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM, with dinner and registration provided.

  • Volunteers needed to help with shifts.

  • 💝 Donations welcome to support meals, laundry, and hotel stays.

🐾 Newnan Coweta Humane Society

Seeking volunteers for:

  • 📝 Grant writing (experience preferred)

  • 🐶🐱 Fostering cats and dogs

🐴 CORRAL

CORRAL provides therapeutic riding experiences for individuals with disabilities.

  • Volunteers are trained to:

    • Walk alongside horses to assist riders

    • Support in non-horse-related roles if preferred

We had an inspiring minute from mission from the Coweta FORCE director, Hank, who spoke of their Burch Ave Affordable housing project, recovery connections program and the many other resources FORCE offers to those in recovery from addiction. November Outreach Update

November: Bridging the Gap James 1:3 "Because you know that the testing of y our faith produces perseverance" During this month of Thanksgiving, we are excited to highlight Bridging the Gap who joyfully provide food for those in need. There are several ways that you help put your Faith into Action this month as BTG distributes Thanksgiving boxes. ->Monetary donations can be given to the church with the designation: BTG ->Thanksgiving items (mashed potatoes, stuffing, cranberry sauce, etc) are welcome ->Join BTG and other church volunteers in person on Wednesdays at 3:30 or Saturdays at 8:00, for packing the boxes and distributing ->Additionally, Wednesday, Nov. 19th: 10 volunteers are needed to serve the hot Thanksgiving dinner to BTG clients. **Contact the church office by Nov 10th to sign up ***
