September Update: Outreach

SEPTEMBER UPDATE 2 Corinthians 5:7 " For we walk by faith,  and not by sight." Serving One Roof and Angels House We have just wrapped up an amazing month in August highlighting our Global Missions!! We packed over 14,000 meals for families globally through Rise Against Hunger; learned more about future missions with Pura Vida in Guatemala; and celebrated over 30 years working with our sister church In Merida Mexico.  Your involvement and excitement during these events displays the missionary heart of our congregation not only locally but globally.   September is here. School is back in session and the holiday season is nearly upon us!  What a wonderful time to support two of our organizations that help families and children.   One Roof, like Bridging the Gap, is desperately in need of food for those in need so we are looking for monetary donations to help them with this purchasing power to make that possible.   Angel's House, a safe have...

Rise Against Hunger - Thank you!

  A Heartfelt Thank You to Our Amazing Volunteers This past Sunday on August 11, 2024, 115 volunteers gathered together in Barrow Hall for a meal packing event for Rise Against Hunger.  Volunteers came together with a shared mission: to combat hunger and provide hope to communities in need. This event was a resounding success, thanks to the dedication and hard work of our incredible volunteers. We packed 14,256 meals!!! In the past 9 years, Newnan Presbyterian Church has packed 130,655 meals and they have provided food to places like Haiti, Sierra Leone, Philippines and Zambia.  Incredible job everyone!!! Faith truly in Action. Their efforts, along with those of many other volunteers, highlight the profound impact that a community can have when united by a common cause. These meals, often referred to as "Memorial Meals," not only provide essential nutrition but also carry the love and dedication of those who packed them.
